Emergency Management Solutions LLC has opened an office in Colorado Springs. The company provides emergency management and homeland security solutions for government and industry by developing planning and training exercises, which improve readiness, safety and survivability.
Experience Colorado Springs at Pikes Peak, formerly the Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau, has selected its 2005 Tourism Industry Employee of the Year award winners. Scott Marble of Cheyenne Mountain Resort was the winner in the management category. Bonnie Kish of the Doubletree Hotel, Colorado Springs World Area, was the runner up.

The Pikes Peak Library District has received a grant of $439,863 to support Bookmobile services from the U.S. Department of Transportation as part of its Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality program. The money will be used to replace one of the district’s Bookmobiles, outfit the retired unit for stationary life in eastern El Paso County and finance operations in the initial year of service.
