Two federal courthouses in Colorado were spared from budget cuts, reports KREX-TV. The two courthouses, in Grand Junction and Durango, were on a short list for closure. Home prices in the United States rose more than analysts expected in July, said Bloomberg. The Case-Shiller Index of property values in 20 cities shows a 1.2 percent increase in home prices since July 2011, the largest increase in more than a year.
