An Ameriprise Financial study shows that two-thirds of the baby boomers surveyed were helping their adult children pay college loans or tuition, and more than half were contributing to the purchase of a car for their children. Nine in 10 boomers are financially assisting their adult children in at least one area, the study showed. And some boomers also are helping their parents financially.
