Vectra Bank Colorado’s Small Business Index registered 87 during May, up from a revised 86.9 during April. A higher index number means more favorable business conditions for the state’s small businesses. Colorado’s index remained largely unchanged as stronger year-over-year state job growth and lower borrowing costs were offset by slowing regional performance, said Jeff Thredgold, corporate economist for Vectra Bank Colorado.
