Ent Credit Union is inviting Colorado nonprofits to apply online for a 2020 Youth Endowment Series grant by Friday, Feb. 14.
“Established in 2000, YES grants, which have historically been given in amounts of up to $5,000, are awarded to nonprofits that help improve the lives of Colorado youth. New to the program this year: Nonprofits serving a statewide need may apply for more than $5,000,” said a news release issued by Ent Credit Union.
“The YES grant program is part of Ent’s commitment to being a community-minded organization, serving both the financial and human needs of its communities,” according to the release. “Since the program’s inception, Ent has awarded YES grants to more than 100 local community agencies. Applications are evaluated by a volunteer panel of Ent employees based on the organization’s general benefit to the community, potential ability to use the grant to obtain additional funds and degree of current community support, among other criteria.”
Grant applications are open to nonprofits serving:
- Northern Colorado: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Jefferson, Larimer, and Weld counties
- South Central Colorado: El Paso, Elbert, Douglas and Teller counties
- Southern Colorado: Pueblo and Fremont counties
- Colorado: eligible to programs and agencies with a statewide reach
“Our YES grants play a big role in helping improve young people’s live now, which will help make our communities stronger tomorrow,” said Marnie Gerkhardt, Ent Emerging Development Leader, in the release. “As Ent expands throughout Colorado, we’re excited to open up eligibility to programs that serve the entire state.”
Grant winners will be announced in April 2020.
