One of the area’s largest health care providers has added another medical facility in Woodland Park under its umbrella.
UCHealth Pikes Peak Regional Hospital recently purchased the medical office property, Woodland Medical Center, on the Pikes Peak Regional Medical Campus for $5.9 million, according to Wednesday press release from local real estate firm London Commercial.
Jerry Knauf and Paul Cohen of the London Commercial along with Nick Hier of Hier & Company, Inc. represented the seller in the transaction.
“The purchase-sale transaction included pre-paid ground lease and concept plans for a 30,000 square foot addition/expansion medical office building property to be further developed by the hospital at its election and timing,” the release said.
The seller of the 20,163 square foot medical office property is California-based American Oaks-Woodland, LLC, which owned the building since 2007.
“Griffis/Blessing companies provided property management services for American Oaks,” the release said. “UC Health/Pikes Peak Regional Hospital together with its predecessor had leased medical space within the medical office building since constructed.”
RMI Capital Management, LLC along with representatives from UCHealth’s Denver and Colorado Springs offices completed the transaction, the release said.
UCHealth announced in February it was acquiring Pikes Peak Regional Hospital in Woodland Park.
“PPRH is a critical access hospital with 15 licensed beds and about 120 employees,” a UCHealth release stated in February. “UCHealth Medical Group and UCHealth Memorial already collaborate with PPRH, providing numerous specialists and services at PPRH including cardiology, neurosurgery, oncology and telestroke.”
