Jonathan Liebert, CEO and executive director of The Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado, is teaming up with Joshua Dunn, political science professor and department chairman at UCCS, for the El Pomar Institute for Innovation and Commercialization’s Mashup event.
Liebert and Dunn will be presenting from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 15 at UCCS’ Berger Hall. It is a free event but an online RSVP is required.
Corporate social responsibility will be the main topic of conversation. Businesses, owners and entrepreneurs are invited to attend the presentation to learn about making profits and being a socially responsible corporation. Attendees may ask questions as well as discuss the topic further following the presentations.
“EPIIC’s mission is to support economic development by providing technology-centered enterprises with access to capital and business information, with an emphasis on sectors recognized as critical to the regional economy; to utilize research with other organizations which assist companies; to provide services through a web of personal connections and information resources; and to catalyze changes in the business climate to establish Colorado Springs as a center for entrepreneurial high-tech companies,” an EPIIC news release said. “EPIIC serves as a bridge between the intellectual resources of the University, the three El Pomar Chairs, and the community.”
