The Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado announced the winners of its annual Excellence in Customer Service awards at a gala Sept. 27 at the Colorado Springs City Auditorium.
Thirteen businesses underwent the demanding review process for the 2018 Excellence in Customer Service Award, setting a record since BBB of Southern Colorado first offered the award program in 1995.
“We are proud of our Excellence in Customer Service Award winners,” said Jonathan Liebert, CEO and executive director of BBB, in a news release. “This vetting process is rigorous and lengthy — and these companies have proven they are super stars in customer service.”
Excellence in Customer Service Award winners:
- Carola’s Tax Assistance
- Genesis MedSpa
- Honest Accurate Auto Service
- Integrity Bank & Trust
- La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Colorado Springs
- Maid to Shine
- McCloskey Motors Inc.
- The WireNut
- U.S. Bank
The gala drew nearly 380 attendees from the business, nonprofit and arts community. The night’s entertainment was provided by 12 local artists who performed to the event’s theme, “Broadway’s Smash Hits.” The gala paid tribute to the economic impact of the arts industry and Arts Month, which occurs yearly in October.
BBB of Southern Colorado has recognized outstanding customer service since 1995.
“Businesses that espouse best practices in customer service ultimately make the community a better place to live,” the release said. “For the awards, businesses do not compete against each other, but rather how they meet the standards for excellence.”
Additionally, two $2,500 scholarships were presented to graduating high school seniors: Jenna Firkins of Pueblo and Emma Walker of Colorado Springs.
