Local defense company Intelligent Software Solutions Inc. was awarded a one-year, $12.2 million contract from the U.S. Air Force this month to provide continued software support for military organizations across the globe.
It is an 18th task order from an Air Force contract awarded to the company in 2012, and requires ISS to provide continued software support and maintenance activities for the United States Central Command, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and operations in the Pacific.
ISS CEO Jay Jesse said the contract is in the company’s top ten biggest contracts and $200 million has been funded so far.
“This is an expansion of existing work,” Jesse said. “Whenever a customer expands your contract, you’re doing something right.”
The Air Space Precision Engagement Research and Engineering program calls for ISS to provide an advanced software development framework for building intelligence analysis and data fusion software.
Found in 1998, ISS Inc. is headquartered in Colorado Springs and performs research, development, integration, testing, demonstration and operations and maintenance in support of the federal government.
