U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet was in Colorado Springs Thursday as part of a listening tour of the local manufacturing industry to learn more about their concerns about transportation.

He visited IP Automation and met company founder Ilia Petkov as well as members from the manufacturing industry in Colorado Springs. The group discussed concerns about transportation along the congested Interstate-25 corridor between Denver and Colorado Springs. The group said they experienced frustrating and costly delays in conducting business because the state has failed to widen I-25 to add more lanes to ease traffic.

He also learned about IP Automation’s latest multi-head clipper machine, used in the railroad industry.
