Colorado College and the Fine Arts Center announced today that the two groups have started conversations about “forging a future together,” according to a statement on the Fine Arts Center’s website.
While no details were available about the form that future might take, the two groups are discussing the possibilities after being approached by community members who are supporters of the arts.
Both institutions have a long history and have worked together since the center’s founding in 1919.
The boards and senior leadership of both institutions are involved “in a process of determining if, by joining forces, both institutions would better be able to fulfill their respective missions,” the statement said.
Currently, there are no concrete plans, but the two groups will provide updates as the conversation continues, the statement said.
