John Reed and Mike Reed opened their third restaurant Monday in Colorado Springs, Firehouse Subs.
The “fast casual” restaurant is at 5915 Dublin Blvd.
Founded by brothers who were firefighters, Firehouse Subs carries the firehouse motif throughout the restaurant. Every restaurant in the chain features a hand-painted mural of the region. For this restaurant, Firehouse Subs Chief Mural Artist Joe Puskas and his team painted the city with Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak in the background.
The restaurant also collects donations for its foundation, which benefits first responders and public safety organizations. In Colorado, the foundation has donated more than $220,000 to organizations.
Firefighter memorabilia decorates the Springs restaurant.
A news release said Firehouse Subs serves premium meats and cheeses on toasted sub rolls, which are served “Fully Involved” with fresh produce and condiments.
The restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m.
