The Minority Business Office of the Office of Economic Development and International Trade is seeking a new round of export grants available to minority and women-owned small- and medium-sized businesses in Colorado. Grants of up to $10,000 are available to companies that are new to exports or are expanding into new markets.

The grants can e used for international business development and marketing projects — client development, airfare and lodging to a foreign market, foreign trade show exhibition and conference costs, trade missions, foreign business-to-business matchmaking services and targeted advertising.

Anyone interested in applying for the grants are required to attend the Leading Edge for International Opportunities class. The 10-session course provides training for small businesses on all aspects of international trade. It’s a partnership between the Colorado Small Business Development Center, the Rocky Mountain World Trade Center Institute, the Office of International Trade and the Colorado Minority Business Office.

The course is available in-person or via recorded webinar. Completion gives participants a certification as a global business professional, Wold Trade Center of Denvr annual membership and access to its annual meeting Sept. 22.
