The event celebrated and served as a registration venue for the Pikes Peak Ascent (a race one-way up the mountain) on Saturday and the Pikes Peak Marathon on Sunday (a roundtrip race on the mountain), both of which begin in Manitou Springs.

Run Fest ran from 5 to 8 p.m. and included music from Grass It Up, a popular bluegrass troupe from the city’s Westside, and Austin Young & No Difference, a local blues group. The event also included a beer garden with products from Red Leg Brewing Co., Bristol Brewing Co., Manitou Brewing Co., Pikes Peak Brewing Co. and Fieldhouse Brewing Co., as well as booths setup by group such as the Colorado Running Co. and a local Alpaca farm.
