Job listings have remained static over the past two months, according to survey results released by Colorado Job Base, a state job database with more than 10,000 job listings from more than 2,000 area employers. The results of its survey was based on data during the past 60 days.
Top employers for job openings
Centura, HealthOne, Vail Resorts, Lockheed Martin and Banner Health were the top five employers for job openings, according to the survey. University of Colorado Health, Sava Senior Care, Dish Network, Denver Health and Deloitte completed the top 10 with each listing a minimum of 200 job openings.
Jobs openings by category
The health care sector continues to lead available job openings with 24.3 percent, while the technology sector accounted for 12.9 percent, according to Colorado Job Base. Individual fields with more than 500 job openings include health care, marketing/PR/sales, education and training, information technology, retail, accounting/finance, food/beverage and software engineering
Jobs openings by region
Of job openings, 58.2 percent were in the Denver Metro area, 13.9 percent in the greater Boulder area, 11.6 percent on the southern Front Range, 9.2 percent on the northern Front Range, 5.3 percent in the mountains, 1.4 percent on the Western Slope and .4 percent on the eastern plains.
Job openings by city
The top five cities for job openings were Denver with 28.1 percent of available listings, followed by Colorado Springs at 8.1 percent, Boulder at 7.2 percent, Aurora at 5.2 percent and Englewood at 5.1 percent.
