Patsy Thompson has been promoted at Northstar Bank to vice president/treasury services relationship manager for the state of Colorado. Based in Colorado Springs, Thompson has 37 years of experience in management, business development, retail sales, treasury sales, lending and operations.
Mountain View Bank promoted Robert Lucia to market president overseeing Southern Colorado. Lucia has more than 30 years of Colorado commercial banking experience, working for community banks in Colorado Springs for the past 15 years. Lucia will oversee day-to-day operations, commercial lending and business banking for Mountain View Bank, located in the Conover Building at 24 S. Weber St. Lucia has a bachelor of science degree in business and a graduate degree in banking, both from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Suzanne Tulien, author, consultant, speaker and founder of The Brand Ascension Group, accepted a board of directors position with the Women’s Resource Agency. She has facilitated “Ignite Your Personal Brand” workshops with their clients for one year. Her primary role will be in creating consistency and distinction within its current brand identity, improving customer experience and expanding awareness.
Jeff Markle has been named director of marketing and events for the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado. Most recently, he was dissemination and marketing coordinator for Biological Sciences Curriculum Study. Markle has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.
The Milwaukee Brewers named former Sky Sox player Craig Counsell the 19th manager in Brewers franchise history, signing him to a three-year contract through the 2017 season. The announcement was made by Doug Melvin, general manager and president of baseball operations. Counsell, 44, played for the Sky Sox over parts of the 1995-97 seasons. He becomes the eighth former Sky Sox player to manage at the Major League level, joining Terry Francona, Joe Girardi, Eric Wedge, Dave Clark, Sandy Alomar Jr., Bo Porter and Brad Ausmus.
Chris Valentine, public information officer with Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, accepted the position of group director of strategic marketing and communications for Centura’s South State Operating Group. Valentine was director of marketing and communications for Penrose-St. Francis Health Services and has been in a public information role with Centura since 2009. He brings more than 21 years of health care public relations, marketing and broadcast television production experience to his new position. Valentine will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing and implementing a strategically driven marketing and communications function for South State’s services, physicians and facilities.
