The U.S. Air Force Academy is scheduled to host a baseball game today at 2 p.m. against Utah Valley University as part of several base-wide events supporting Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention month.
The theme of the game is “Eliminate Sexual Assault. Know Your Part. Do Your Part.”
Superintendent Lt. Gen. Michelle Johnson will attend and open the game with a message to fans in attendance. Dean of Faculty Brig. Gen. Andrew Armacost and Commandant of Cadets Brig. Gen. Stephen Williams, will throw out the first pitch.
The game will feature prizes and giveaways, including Jersey Mike’s sandwiches. The game will conclude with Air Force and Utah Valley teams and any fans in attendance that would like to take a pledge to stop sexual assault. Both teams will be wearing a teal ribbon on their helmets in support of the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
