State Rep. Kit Roupé (R-17), Colorado Springs, will host a town hall meeting at the Grace Mountain Church, 3195 Airport Road, Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m.-noon.
Roupé invited State Rep. Paul Lundeen (R-19), Monument, who serves on the House Education and the Judiciary Committees to join him for the town hall. Roupé serves on the House Business Affairs and Labor and the Finance committees. Other state lawmakers have been invited but have not confirmed. Each representative has information and insight about their committees to share with the public.

Also invited to the town hall are Colorado Housing and Finance Corp., or CHFA (chfainfo.com/). El Paso County Public Health will be there as well to touch on the issues of marijuana and teenage smoking. Also invited isa representative from the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Roupé begins the town hall with an invocation, the Pledge of Allegiance and then letting all visiting organizations have three to five minutes to speak about their programs and organizations. The organizations will also have information tables available at the meeting. Introductions of elected officials and candidates will be afforded. Approximately 30 to 45 minutes is set aside for the representatives to speak about what is happening in the legislature and take questions. The remaining time is intended to answer and questions. If there are no questions, the officials open up the town hall for participants and attendees to mingle.
