The Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado’s board of directors has named Matt Colligan as interim CEO, effective March 30. Colligan has been a BBB board member for several years and has served on its executive committee.
“Although a nationwide search is well underway, the permanent CEO position may not be filled before April 30,” according to a news release issued by the BBB. “Therefore, for continuity for BBB members and staff, the board of directors named an interim CEO.”
Chief Operating Officer Blair Reeves, who has been with the BBB for 11 years, will continue providing key leadership during the transition, the release states, and outgoing CEO Matt Barrett will serve in an advisory role through the end of April.
“Matt Colligan has an outstanding background to help the BBB transition to a new permanent CEO,” said Glenn Strebe, chairman of the board, BBB of Southern Colorado. “He has owned numerous businesses and has excellent knowledge of the BBB of Southern Colorado, the BBB system, and BBB governance — we feel very confident in his ability to keep things running smoothly.”
The board anticipates hiring a new CEO in the next 60 days, according to the release.
