The event will be the first in a series of five for the former Colorado Springs Mayor, and is scheduled for 10-11 a.m. at 28B S. Tejon St.
“The roundtables are being held to explore solutions to our community’s most important issues,” according to a campaign news release. “The first discussion will focus on the Springs’ Community Improvement Program and the city’s infrastructure needs.”
Makepeace invited experts and community members to participate in the talks, which are “aimed at reaching a consensus and identifying the steps needed to create a cohesive vision for Colorado Springs.”
Panelists present will include Colorado Springs City Councilmember Jan Martin and Independence Center and Community Transit Coalition organizer Courtney Stone and additional panelists are to be announced, according to the release.
The roundtable discussion is planned for 45 minutes and will be followed by time for questions and comments from the audience. The event is free and open to the public, but those interested are encouraged to RSVP, as seating is limited. To do so, visit makepeace4mayor.com.
