Computer printerTwo Colorado Springs printer cartridge and printer repair companies, LaserPro II and Rapid Refill, merged, called JetEx Inc.

Both started business in 1992 in Colorado Springs selling printer cartridges and helping customers print smarter by using remanufactured cartridges—while preserving the environment and saving customers up to 30 percent compared to OEM prices.

Since its beginning, LaserPro II has focused on selling remanufactured toner cartridges and offering printer repair services while Rapid Refill focused on selling remanufactured inkjet and toner cartridges.

Mike and Ilene Warner, co-owners of Rapid Refill, purchased LaserPro II to eliminate duplicate expenses, expand their product offerings and serve more customers. Jan. 1 the merged companies become JetEx Inc., and operate from the 17 N. Circle Drive location that has been home to Rapid Refill. The name JetEx is was derived from LaserJet Experts. The company will add in-store printer sales, copy services, shredding and select office supply offerings.

Bill Price, former owner of LaserPro II will serve as general manager and Kristine Simons will continue as the retail store manager. All employees of both companies will continue to work for JetEx, the new company.

The Warners named their company Rapid Refill when they invested in and helped start the franchise Rapid Refill in 2004. In 2006 they sold their interest in the franchisor but kept the name and continued as a franchisee. When they bought LaserPro II they decided to rename the businesses to JetEx.
