The competition tasked students to develop a concept for a mobile application that would solve a problem in their school or community. The winning students’ concept focused on creating new ways for teens to get involved in their community.
The students created the Servi app, which will provide both community organizations and students an easy platform to both post service projects in need of support and find opportunities to engage in philanthropy. Students will also be able to organize and track service hours and projects.
This group of students will now move on to the next round of competition, Best of Region. Those winners will be announced Jan. 16.
