The offerings, which are marketed as unique holiday gift ideas, are now available at the 3D Printing Store’s four Colorado locations, including its Colorado Springs store at 4250 Buckingham Dr., Suite 100.
“This is a unique gift to give during the holiday season,” said Debra Wilcox, co-founder of the company, in a news release. “We can scan anybody who can hold still for a couple of minutes and create a memorable gift.”
The full-body scan and printed figurine costs $175, according to the release. Custom holiday ornaments featuring a personal photo are also available for $25.
“We have a great opportunity to show the public a very practical use for what some say is a ‘space-age’ technology,” said Joe Weisenbach, owner of the Springs store, in the release.
