health-exchangeThe American Vein and Vascular Institute, a network of vein diagnosis and treatment centers in Colorado and Texas, continues to expand its locations and employee base with the opening of its newest facility in Colorado Springs. The sixth facility opened today (Nov. 5) at 175 S. Union Blvd, Suite 200.

Dr. Gordon Gibbs, AVVI chief medical executive, along with Dr. Emma Stout, diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and a board certified family medicine practitioner, will lead the clinic.

“We are thrilled to open this sixth AVVI facility in Colorado Springs,” said CEO Erin Gibbs. “We all are eager to become a greater piece of the Colorado Springs small business landscape and to contribute in this fashion to the Colorado Springs community and surrounding region.”

Keila Dremstedt, R.N., joins the Colorado Springs AVVI as its newest vascular nurse. Recently, she vacated her position at Albert Vein Clinic where she assisted and performed cosmetic sclerotherapy and medical treatment plan completion. In her experience, Dremstedt has assisted in laser and radio frequency ablation procedures, conducted patient education on procedure preparation, pre- and post-op instruction and follow-up requirements.
