RMC, which has offices across the country including one in Colorado Springs, was also named one of Special Events Magazine’s top 25 destination management companies in the world, according to a news release.
RMC owner Shawn Thomson-Palermo and President Nathan Boyd accepted the 2014 Top Company in Hospitality Award during this month’s event.
“This award in particular was a stand-out moment for us,” Shawn Thomson-Palermo said during the event. “We were chosen among a very talented pool of companies in a competitive Colorado market,” she adds.
This marks the third consecutive year RMC has Special Events Magazine’s Top 25 list.
The company, which is celebrating its 25th year in business, manages meetings, events and getaways for clients at resorts, on mountains and in cities, according to its website.
It is the largest privately owned destination management and special events company in the U.S., with offices in Aspen, Colorado Springs, Denver, Beaver Creek and Vail, Jackson Hole, Wyo., Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, Lake Tahoe, Nev./Calif. and Austin, Texas. RMC manages more than 350 corporate programs and events each year, according to the news release, and is the preferred destination management firm for companies including Four Seasons, Montage, Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis and Westin.
