The Southern Colorado Manufacturing Expo, a showcase including demonstrations of goods and services from throughout the region, is being hosted in Colorado Springs this week.

The two-day educational series will run from 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. today and from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Freedom Financial Services Expo Center at 3650 N. Nevada Ave.

“SOCOM will bring the community together to publicize and promote the sector, facilitate new and important relationships, and showcase manufacturing to a prospective future workforce,” SOCOM stated in a news release.

The event, which plays host to representatives from various industries, will include presentations related to industry, service, policy and education, as well as keynote speeches and ample networking opportunities, according to the release.

“Manufacturing is surging, benefiting from several factors that position the sector for growth, both nationally and in the region,” the release stated. “Colorado Springs, Pueblo and the region are positioned to benefit — if industry and its partners take steps to promote the sector and connect industry players.”
