image001The Colorado Consortium for Earth and Space Science Education will host its third annual SeaPerch Underwater ROV competition Saturday at Coronado High School.

During the regional competition nearly three dozen high school and middle school teams from around the state will compete for four spots to compete nationally, according to a CCESSE news release.

The release said that the teams will compete with their underwater craft in two divisions: an obstacle course and a design challenge.

The competition is hosted in part by the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Center for K-12 STEM Outreach and Research, according to the release.

The challenges begin at 9 a.m. at Coronado High School, 1590 W. Fillmore St., in west Colorado Springs.
