Happy birthday, Terra Verde

Terra Verde, owned by Chris Sondermann, celebrates its 21st Anniversary in downtown Colorado Springs Sept. 12-28. At 208 N. Tejon, Terra Verde is a boutique offering contemporary women’s fashions & accessories, jewelry, gifts, books and home accessories and more. Terra Verde is an annual first place winner of local “best of awards” yearly for fashion, gift products and jewelry. Terra Verde will be celebrating with a Dzahavael Couture fashion event, discounts storewide and a week of treats, special events and giveaways.

Hybl named to Children’s board

Sally Hybl has been elected to Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Hybl, a lifetime resident of Colorado Springs, will work with her fellow trustees and foundation staff to engage the community to grow philanthropic support for Children’s Hospital Colorado in Colorado Springs and across the region.

NEF, Classic Homes donate iPads

The Neumann Education Foundation in partnership with Classic Homes said 41 iPads have been purchased for first grade students and teachers at the Discovery Canyon Elementary School. Classic Homes adopted Discovery Canyon Elementary contributing $50,000 to NEF’s iPad initiative. The iPads were deployed in classrooms at the beginning of the current school year.

Winter Night names board

The Winter Night Club announced its board for the 2013-14 season. President is Doug Berwick of Berwick Electric, first vice president invocations is Tom Anderson, second vice president military guests is T. Thompson of Association of USAFA Graduates, third vice president membership is Rosanne Gain of Gain-Stovall Public Relations, third vice president of membership is Bob Stovall of Gain-Stovall Public Relations, program chairman is Craig Carnick of Carnick & Company, secretary and treasurer is Dustin Bench of Morgan Stanley and past president is Cari Shaffer of AddStaff, Inc.
