The Fourth Judicial District is changing its phone numbers starting just after midnight Sept. 14.

“The phone numbers are being changed out of a need to upgrade the entire phone system,” said Fourth Judicial District Chief Judge Gilbert Martinez. “The system currently used in the courthouse has reached the end of its life cycle as parts to maintain the system are no longer available.”

The change represents a more uniform approach to assigning numbers to court division, court and probation offices. Phone numbers at the Teller County courthouse will not be changed.

The new switchboard number for the courthouse is 452-5000. From there, callers can be transferred to district and county court divisions, the court clerk’s office, court administration, other court-related offices and the probation department. The new number for the jury commissioner and matters related to jury duty is 452-5001 and the new number for the program office will be 452-5700.

Additional phone numbers will be available at the court’s website by 8 a.m. Friday morning.
