RE/MAX Properties hired four broker associates: Andrea Owen was born in Brazil. She moved to the United States in 2003. She started in real estate as an investor. She is working out of the south office at 2630 Tenderfoot Hill St. Mike Ryan obtained his real estate license in 1992 while living in Boulder and moved to the Springs in 2004. He has joined the north office at 1740 Chapel Hills Drive. Ron Johnson has been a resident of Colorado Springs since 1978. He’s been a full time Realtor since 1990. He has GRI and CNE designations and is working out of the north office. Allen Taylor has lived in Colorado Springs for 17 years. He is new to real estate and is working in the north office.

Stockman Kast Ryan + Co., a locally owned certified public accounting firm in Southern Colorado, hired four employees. Michelle Egebrecht is the new tax secretary. She had been working as an administrative assistant with Young Life. She received her private secretarial degree from Blair College of Colorado Springs and an associate’s degree from Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs. Sarah Steph is the audit consultant. She graduated with an MBA from UCCS and received the Outstanding Graduate Student in Accounting Award. She also has an undergraduate degree in political science and world perspectives. She previously worked as a branch manager for First Bank. Melissa Sauer is the receptionist. Before joining SKR+Co., she worked as an escrow officer and closing coordinator for CB Title and two other local companies. Mary Lang is an administrative assistant. Lang previously worked for AddStaff as a medical receptionist and medical records tech. She has an associate’s degree in applied science health information technology from Arapahoe Community College in Littleton.

Eleven lawyers from Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons LLP have been selected by their peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America 2013 list of leading lawyers. L. Martin Nussbaum, non-profit/charities law was named from the Colorado Springs office.

Dr. Jessa Kocher has joined Northwest Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian. Kocher grew up in northern Illinois and spent the last year working at a small animal practice in North Carolina. She has a bachelor’s degree in animal sciences from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and received a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. As a new resident of Colorado Springs, Kocher is excited to get to know and be involved in the community. She is a general practitioner with special interests in internal medicine, surgery, preventative medicine and oncology.

Holland & Hart attorney Wendy Pifher was selected by her peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America 2013 for technology law. In her practice, Pifher advises clients in the areas of intellectual property prosecution, licensing and technology agreements and strategies, as well as advertising and entertainment matters.

Roger Williams has joined the consulting staff at McNew & Associates Inc, a Colorado Springs-based federal government contract management, accounting and DCAA audit compliance firm. Williams was previously the deputy director of pricing for ITT Systems/Exelis. He has more than 35 years of defense and other federal agency pricing experience related to the federal acquisition regulation, DCAA/DCMA compliance, and international pricing requirements.

Graphic designer Dave Kiser joined Maxx HD Sunglasses, the Colorado-based sunglass brand. Kiser will oversee all custom logo design for the brand’s newest collection of custom logo sunglasses. He will also help design key marketing collateral. Kiser was most recently the owner/operator of D Kiser Design Studio, a graphic design company. He has a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University.

U.S. Bank Home Mortgage in Colorado Springs has named Gary Kulbitski a mortgage loan originator. He works at the branch located at 2308 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Kulbitski is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans and business development. He specializes in conventional, VA, FHA, construction and lot loans. Kulbitski has worked in the financial services industry for 12 years and has a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.
