Lonnie Parsons has been named regional president of the ANB Bank’s Southern Region Banking Centers. He will work from the Cascade Avenue branch and oversee operations of the six banking centers in Colorado Springs. Prior to joining ANB, Parsons served in leadership positions at several financial institutions, most recently Vectra Bank in Pueblo. He has more than 33 years banking and lending experience.

Harry Venik joined V.I.P Mortgage Colorado Springs. Venik is a graduate of the University of Iowa and a mortgage professional for more than 20 years. He specializes in conventional, FHA, VA, construction loans, investment loans and refinancing in Colorado.

Edward S. ‘Ned’ Carroll is the new program director of the National Security Innovation Competition at the National Homeland Defense Foundation. He is a retired U.S. Coast Guard captain. Carroll replaces Maj. Gen. (retired) Mark Volcheff who was competition director for four years and will now be an advisory board member to the competition. Carroll served 27 years in the Coast Guard as an engineer and test pilot working joint test and evaluation programs. More recently he was a senior business manager providing high-tech engineering services and testing for a wide range of DOD and DHS programs.

Niki Roberts joined Add Staff, a locally owned staffing company, as a staffing manager. Roberts has a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her experience includes working for a national executive search firm.

Julie Fitzgerald of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen received the National Office Professional of the Year award during the company’s 2012 national conference. The award is presented to a leading office professional and based on such factors as professionalism, interaction with customers, attention to detail and overall contributions to the team.

Dan Lane has been hired as a project manager/estimator at GH Phipps Construction Co. He has 13 years in the construction industry, most recently as a project manager at H.W. Houston Construction Co. Lane earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology from the University of Southern Colorado. He is based in the Colorado Springs office. Ralph Kasper has joined GH Phipps Construction Companies as a preconstruction project manager. Matt Hughes has joined Phipps’ special projects team as a project manager/estimator. Mary Chandler has been named a business development communications specialist at Phipps. They are based in the Greenwood Village corporate office.
