The U.S. Olympic Boxing team heads to London this weekend and fans have a chance to wish them good luck before they go.

Join the team at a special send-off at 7:30 p.m. Friday outside the Visitors’ Center at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. All the team members will be on hand and exclusive posters of the team will be handed out to the first 500 attendees for the Olympians to sign.

Team USA boasts the largest boxing delegation at the 2012 Olympic Games with 12 athletes competing in London. The 2012 Olympic Games will be a history-making affair for the U.S. boxing team as women’s boxing makes its Olympic debut.

The boxers were in Colorado Springs for pre-Olympic training camp. The squad began arriving just days after the devastating fires started and the 2012 U.S. Olympic Boxing Team will be donating several items to the victims of the Waldo Canyon fire and encourage those attending their send-off to bring donations as well.

The 2012 U.S. Olympic Boxing Team will depart for Bolton, England, July 14 for the final training camp. The squad will transfer to London and move into the Olympic Village on June 24 and open competition on June 28.
