Garden of the Gods Club named Steven Weber its new executive chef. He completed advanced courses at the Culinary Institute of America, where he focused on individual European pastries, confectionery work and advanced cake decorating techniques. He refined his culinary skills in Europe, where he served as an executive and personal chef for nearly 10 years at the Chateau Gendebien in Mons, Belgium. In 2009, Steve retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years.

Country Club community developer Sunrise Company named William “Billy” Peterson, PGA, as general manager and CEO of Garden of the Gods Club. A native of Wilmington, N.C., Peteson was a member of the golf team at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and became the 47th PGA Master Professional in the PGA of America. His career has been in international club management.

Suzannah Mattson has been named branch manager of the new Colorado Springs Cobalt Mortgage office on Explorer Drive, near the Shops at Briargate. She has more than 15 years of banking and mortgage experience. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and is involved in the Home Builders Association of Colorado Springs.

Eva Garretson has joined The Eastern Colorado Bank as a Deposit Operations Officer. She has more than 16 years of banking experience. She will oversee the express banking division, which is a commercial service where bankers pick-up deposits.

Maureen Carter has joined the sales team at The Broadmoor. Carter is responsible for sales in the Western region including Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Alaska and Hawaii. Carter has been with The Broadmoor since 2005 and most recently held the position of executive meeting manager specializing in board meetings, corporate teambuilding and social gatherings. She was named Employee of the Year in 2005.
