Memorial Health System is the official hospital of the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

In the first-of-its-kind agreement, Memorial will provide both general and specialized care to athletes training in the city, as well as provide medical support for USOC sports events in Colorado Springs.

It’s hoped that other training centers will follow Memorial’s lead.

“We are honored that the U.S. Olympic Committee has entrusted us with the care of the amazing athletes that train here in Colorado Springs, whose good health is critical not only for their own success and dreams, but also for the country’s standing on the world’s stage,” said Memorial interim CEO Mike Scialdone. “This is a testament to our mission to provide the highest quality health care.”

According to the terms of the agreement, athletes will have access to a wide range of medical care – including Memorial’s concusssion clinic, holistic therapies, specialty doctors and emergency care. The hospital will provide a sports liaison to the USOC to coordinate care for athletes.
