The U.S. market for wind turbines will drop 80 percent if Congress doesn’t renew wind energy tax credit, says the CEO of Vestas Wind System.

The Denver Business Journal is reporting that Ditley Engel, CEO for the largest turbine-maker in the world, said that federal tax credits are critical for the new industry. Vestas has four locations in Colorado and currently employs about 1,600 people.
