The pizza shop, which also sells salads and sub sandwiches, expects to open in November and hire 75 people to operate its store. Dion’s is an owner-run chain.

Dion’s was founded in 1978 by Jon Patten and Bill Scott in Albuquerque. Now, the company has grown to more than 17 stores and 1,200 employees in three states.
Dion’s in the Springs will be a 5,394 square feet restaurant and includes indoor dining and a pick-up window. It will hold up to 164 customers. As with all of its stores, the location will feature an open kitchen layout, a pizza stand for children to watch and interact with pizza makers, and Tiffany lamps throughout the interior.
