The Colorado Attorney General’s Office says budget cuts are hurting enforcement of complaints against telemarketers who violate the state’s no-call laws.

There are more than 3 million Coloradans registered on the no-call list, but complaints about the annoying calls have been steadily rising over the past nine years. They are especially aggravating for people with prepaid cell phones, who have to pay for the calls.

Funds for enforcement have dropped from about $72,000 in 2007 to less than $30,000 last year.
