Rusinak Real Estate named a top achiever

Rusinak Real Estate, Inc. was the recipient of a Leading Real Estate Companies of the World member achievement awards presented March 25 at the organization’s annual conference in Florida.

Rusinak Real Estate received the 2011 Crown of Excellence for its company-size category based on superior performance in the area of sending and servicing clients referred through the network.

This is the fourth Crown of Excellence award for Rusinak Real Estate. The award is presented to the member firm with the highest point total earned for various referral performance metrics within their company-size category. Rusinak Real Estate also received the 2011 Award of Excellence both for outgoing referral production and for incoming referral conversion for their company-size category.

“To be recognized among this elite group of firms by Leading Real Estate Companies of the World is a true honor and reflects an exceptional level of professionalism and real estate expertise,” said Pam O’Conner, RE president and CEO.

McCallin awarded Distinguished State Community College Director

Dr. Nancy J. McCallin was awarded the Distinguished State Community College Director Award from the national Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. The award was presented at the organization’s annual convention in Nashville, Tenn. The Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is the national honor society for community and junior college students and was established by the American Association of Community Colleges in 1929.

McCallin was nominated for the award by three students from the Community College of Aurora.

“We nominated Dr. Nancy McCallin in recognition of all the hard work and dedication she has done for the Colorado Community College System and Phi Theta Kappa,” said student Ryan Manzanares. “We see her as a distinguished administrator that has contributed to the success of Phi Theta Kappa’s and all students in Colorado.”

Ent Federal Credit Union awards 13 organizations YES grants for 2012.

Ent Federal Credit Union awarded 13 regional organizations its Youth Endowment Series program grants for 2012. The YES grant program supports non-profit organizations benefiting children and young people. The program has given grants to more than 80 Pikes Peak region organizations.

This year’s recipient agencies are: Care and Share, Inc. — Children’s Nutrition Initiative; Children’s Advocacy Center/Safe Passage; Colorado Springs Teen Court; Ronald McDonald House; Starlight Children’s Foundation; Big Brothers Big Sisters; Special Kids Special Families; Acts 19:11 — Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center; Boys and Girls Club; CASA;Colorado Springs Child Nursery Centers/Early Connections; Community Partnership for Child Development; and Pikes Peak United Way — School Readiness Program.
