One in seven Coloradans don’t know where their next meal will come from. But you can help, through Wal-Mart’s “fighting hunger together” campaign.

The company has been holding a Facebook campaign in April. Visitors can go to their page and vote for one of 200 communities hardest hit by unemployment. Colorado Springs made the list and is in the running to receive $1 million to fight hunger. About 20 other communities will receive $50,000.

Colorado Springs area food banks could receive some of the money. Voting is open now, and people can vote every day until April 30.

Here is the Springs voting page.

The Facebook page also provides information on how users can donate or volunteer with hunger-fighting organizations in their local communities.
