The Governor’s Energy Office named Jeffrey Nathanson CEO of Recharge Colorado. Nathanson is a longtime leader in the Colorado clean-tech industry and is the vice chairman of the State of Colorado’s Clean Energy Development Authority, a member of the Colorado clean-tech industry association and a longtime board member of Colorado’s sustainable business training resource.  He served as the executive director of business development at National Jewish Health where he was responsible for the management and growth of the new business opportunities unit within the health initiatives department.

Pikes Peak United Way named Lori Bellingham director of leaders in giving. Bellingham will be responsible for the nonprofit’s major gift program, as well as the retention and recognition of leadership donors. Previously in charge of strategic partnerships for an Atlanta-based PR firm, she has a background in nonprofit marketing and development.

Bruce Warren has been elected president of the Garden of the Gods Foundation. He is a partner with the law firm of Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons LLP. Paul Butcher, treasurer, is retired from the City of Colorado Springs having served 16 years as the director of parks, recreation and cultural services. Dave Kast, secretary, is a partner with the accounting firm Stockman, Kast, Ryan & Company. Other board members include: John Demmon, a retired USAF aircraft maintenance officer, and a retired financial advisor /certified financial planner. He is currently president of the board of directors, Friends of Garden of the Gods. Lyda Hill founded the Garden of the Gods Foundation and is currently president of LH Holdings. Earlier in her career, she started a breast care center in Texas, joined a partner in renovating the Fort Worth stockyards and then returned to Colorado Springs and built the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center. Suzanne Jarvinen is past president of Friends of Garden of the Gods and has been a volunteer park interpreter since 2001. Previously, she was a director of operations and procurement for Quantum Corp and Hewlett-Packard. Nancy Lewis, former director of the Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation Department, most recently served as president of the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center and of the Garden of the Gods Foundation. She authored the book The Parks of Colorado Springs, published in 2011. Kent Obee is a retired career diplomat and former chair of both the TOPS working committee and the parks advisory board. Carl Reinhardt is an architect and president of Castlewood LLC. He has served as chairman of the Colorado Springs park and recreation advisory board and chairman of the Colorado Springs city asset naming board.

The Colorado Procurement Technical Assistance Center board of directors elected Thomas B. Romer of Denver as a new member of their 2012-2013 board. Romer is a member of the Denver firm of Brownstein, Hyatt, Farber, Schreck. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions, securities, finance and business formation.
