The Colorado Springs Conservatory is having a party from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today to celebrate its new location at 415 S. Sawatch St.

The 400-student music and arts school moved to the southwest downtown location in September and seeks to “re-energize” the area, which is mostly populated by old warehouses.

Tours of the new facility will be offered as well as snacks, a student performance and comments from Mayor Steve Bach.

The event is free and open to the public.
