The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Colorado now stands at $3.45, up from $3.39 a week ago, AAA reports.

Prices vary around Colorado and are highest in Vail, at $3.82 a gallon, and in Glenwood Springs, at $3.74.

In Colorado Springs they stand at $3.41 this week compared to $3.38 last week.

AAA tracks gas prices in 10 Colorado communities. Only the Fort Collins-Loveland area showed a drop in fuel prices over the past week, with a gallon selling for $3.376 a week ago and for $3.436 today.

Prices in the Denver area increased to $3.424 from $3.367 during the past week.
