The federal government recently announced its intent to increase support for satellite ground and control systems using a new KS-252 cryptographic program – and two Colorado Springs companies are key to its success.
The collaboration will be deeply involved in making sure ground- to- satellite intelligence transmissions are secure.
Braxton Technologies will integrate its ACE Premier command and control product suite front end processor with Amergint Technologies’ software http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20100430006228/en/Braxton-Front-End-Processor-KS-252-Interface-Announced .
“A new crypto program has been developed by the government and our collaboration will provide the necessary front-end interface to run most satellite ground systems,” said Braxton spokeswoman Julie Willis.
The fact that it is an all-software implementation allows the companies stronger performance at a lower cost than a traditional hardware-based approach, both company officials said.
