After two years of construction upgrades, the Baptist Road Interchange is finished.

The project was a collaborative effort of Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority, Colorado Department of Transportation, and Baptist Road Rural Transportation Authority.

Originally a two-lane road, Baptist Road is now a four-lane divided arterial, with intersection improvements, signalization, left- and right-hand turn bays, drainage improvements, and additional rights-of-way at various locations along its corridor.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. today.

  1. I want to thank everyone involved for making it possible for us to deliver this project ahead of schedule and under the original budget.

Wayne Williams, President, Baptist Road RTA
