More than 350 people sampled South American wines and food to raise money at Cheyenne Village’s 4th Annual Vineyard in the Village last month at Mr. Bigg’s Event Center.
The fundraiser supports Cheyenne Village, a local nonprofit that serves people with developmental disabilities.
Popular for it’s “I Love Lucy”-style grape stomp competition, the event also sported a marketplace with a large variety of baskets and other items, live music from Shadow Mountain Band and a live auction performed by Kevin Patterson.
Guests sampled fare from seven food stations provided by Sodexo and more than 80 wines from Dirk Stamp of the Wine Seller in Palmer Lake and his distributors.
Chairwoman Mary Ellen McNally shared how Cheyenne Village has helped her daughter Beth enjoy an independent life with a job and her own apartment.
