S. Kato Crews is an artist at heart. As a teenager he shared a love with his idol, M.C. Hammer — writing rap music and performing his songs. He won two talent shows in high school performing as “The Crewser.”
Though you may not find him rapping at work, Crews landed a career as a partner with Rothgerber Johnson and Lyons. He joined the firm in 2001 as a labor and employment law attorney.
He is a regular speaker for the Colorado Springs Human Resources Association and editor of the RJ&L Employment Law Update, a quarterly newsletter. He sits on the board of directors for the Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region and was recently elected president of the board.
He was selected as a member of the inaugural class of 2007 for the Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training Program, one of 20 attorneys nationwide.
Crews is married to April Crews and they have two children, Kylee and Devin.
