The USA National Karate-do Federation has relocated its national office to Colorado Springs from St. Albans, W.Va.

“… We are extremely excited to be located here in … the amateur sports capital of the U.S., where we can continue to develop a close working relationship with the United States Olympic Committee and other Olympic and Pan American sport National Governing Bodies,” said USA National Karate-do Federation Interim CEO Luke St. Onge, who also recognized the support the organization received from the Colorado Springs Sports Corp. and the El Pomar Foundation.

“We are once again enjoying the benefits of the reputation of our city as a destination for major sports organizations associated with the Olympic family,” said Sports Corp. Chairman Dave Palenchar. “Our significant USOC Community Partnership agreement is enhanced by this announcement, and we will be strongly supportive of this federation and its athletes.”

The USA National Karate-do Federation is the national governing body of the sport of karate in the United States and a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee. The organization selects and trains teams to represent the United States in various international competitions each year.
