City seeking ‘pioneering’ volunteers
The City of Colorado Springs is seeking to residents to serve as at-large members of the Pioneers Museum Advisory Board.
The board, which meets the second Thursday of each month, sets policies related to museum exhibits, programs and collections. It monitors the overall operations, receives resident input and periodically reports to City Council.
Members commit about two-and-a-half hours per month to public hearings, meetings and work sessions. The positions require only that the volunteers have an interest in the development of the museum.

Now in its 13 year, the EICS program is a way for companies to look at their existing customer service practices. After an analysis by independent professional evaluators, the businesses are guided through a comprehensive process of improvement.
What makes the process different is that the businesses are not competing against each other. They are competing against themselves, looking internally at their existing systems with the goal of improving their processes.
Progressive recognized as IT innovator
The Progressive Group of Insurance Cos. has been selected as a 2007 CIO 100 award recipient.

Michael Peltier has opened Digital Expressway Inc.
The telecommunications consulting company provides various options of high speed Internet, including T-1 lines, unlimited/local and long distance phone service, conference calling, calling cards and VOIP.
The company also performs telecom audits and provides free bandwidth tests, which measure Internet connection speed.
