City seeking ‘pioneering’ volunteers

The City of Colorado Springs is seeking to residents to serve as at-large members of the Pioneers Museum Advisory Board.

The board, which meets the second Thursday of each month, sets policies related to museum exhibits, programs and collections. It monitors the overall operations, receives resident input and periodically reports to City Council.

Members commit about two-and-a-half hours per month to public hearings, meetings and work sessions. The positions require only that the volunteers have an interest in the development of the museum.

Send letters of interest and resumes by June 18 to City Council, Attention Marti Devin, P.O. Box 1575, Colorado Springs, CO 80901.

For more information, visit and click “City Council and City Management,” then “City Boards and Commissions,” or call 385-5453.
