The Teller County Home Builders Association has just completed a “build house” fundraiser project, with a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the house to benefit the Pikes Peak Regional Medical Center Association and their new hospital, scheduled to open in the summer of 2007.
The Pikes Peak Regional Medical Center Association was incorporated as a nonprofit in 1999 for the sole purpose of planning, developing and building a full-service, 24-hour, acute care hospital to serve the healthcare needs of the northwest Pikes Peak Region. Nearly seven years in the making now, Pikes Peak Hospital broke ground in April of 2006. USDA Rural Development and Matrix Capital Bank have approved funding. JE Dunn Construction has been awarded the construction contract, and Brim Healthcare has been selected to operate the hospital.
