The Colorado Department of Revenue reminds taxpayers that today is the extension deadline for filing the 1998 Colorado 104 income tax return. Colorado taxpayers who needed an extension of time to file their tax return, still had to pay 90 percent of any owed tax by the April 15 deadline but were allowed to take the extension without notifying the department. In addition, taxpayers who owe no tax or who are filing for a refund did not have to file anything until now.

Electronic filing of state tax returns is available through today’s deadline. Returns may be filed on the Internet at ; by phone at 303-238-3453 or 1-877-TEL-FILE or through a tax professional. Payments must be postmarked by midnight today.
